What Type of Disciplinarian Are You?

While reflecting on ways in which my parents disciplined my siblings and I, it became clear that I’ve inherited many of their disciplinary approaches: a combination of Zero Tolerance and light restorative approaches. As an educator and administrator, I try to embrace restorative practices always. However, the old school, punitive philosophy is ever present. It takes work to actively avoid handlinf student discipline with a Zero Tolerance approach.
